Welcome to the Sonic Days Podcast. In this episode, we explore a new way of exhibiting music. When the Carl Nielsen Museum in Odense reopened in 2023, sound became the core of the exhibition. Visitors encounter sound before information, without headphones, and within a single shared space.

The talk looks at how the exhibition was designed to keep the audience engaged, and how multiple sound sources can coexist in one room. You’ll hear about the artistic and technical decisions behind the project, developed by researchers from the University of Copenhagen in collaboration with Event Communications and Coda-to-Coda in London, and realised by Kasper Stouenborg and Museum Odense.
